Odd years are the best time to target HUGE rainbows and cutts on this super secret river.
Also the best time to target the native summer run steelhead!!!!! The bows and cutts feed on the
eggs from the pinks. This fishery is just like Alaska. The fish hang below the spawning salmon
waiting for eggs.
Mostly wade access and hiking involved. Some boat access but for the largest trout and
steelhead one must be ready for a two mile hike in and a two mile hike out! Total amount of hiking
is usually about six miles but well worth it when you hook in to these Large TROUT!!!
WE will sight fish bows with egg patterns, flesh flies, and leeches.
The steelhead will be on the lips of the tailout and hanging on riffle ledges. We will swing marabous
and leech type stuff for these chromers!!!
One must sign a waiver about use of access point. Area not to be fished unless accompanied by
guide from Nature's Drift. This is to preserve the area. Not very many areas around like this in
western Washington and I don't want people over fishing this area!!!!! Limited to a select few
anglers a season. I' ve been hiking and fishing this area since I was a young boy. Over the years I
would use this area as a personal fishery to get away!!! Once in awhile I would take in good friends
and out of town ers. People that I knew who would not go fish with out me!!! If this sounds like you
and your type of trout fishing let me know!
I will be getting a four wheeler to make the hike in/out a little less effort. This will also open up
some more of my most favorite areas too.
Lets Go Fishing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
